First Day Of School

First Day Of School
yay! first day of school! So, I basically wore this with some variations:
my belt is red and is just the mickey face
my sweater is shorter and not as detailed
Convocation and later, adviser meetings
First off, for anyone who doesn't know, convocation is when you dress up like you did for graduation, go to a place that you'd likely be graduating in, and sit down while all of administration is in their regalia, so fancy graduation robes.
Anyway, the outfit on the left is what I'm wearing to such an event. The dress I'm wearing is actually from HM, but I can't find it on the site, so you get the closest one that matches. The shoes are nothing like the ones I'm wearing other than the style of the shoe. Mine are actually a silver and black black on the sides.
My adviser meeting, if I get out of convocation early enough to change, is going to be the first time i'm Disneybounding(dress up in normal clothing to look like a Disney character/movie) on college campus. If you can't tell, I'm going as Aurora...so yea...that's a thing.

Also, I'm playing around with the style of my posts, so feel free to shoot me a comment or message me about what specifically you want me to be posting, what you want them to look like, etc etc :)

Have a good day!

Move In Day!

Move In Day!
I'm finally moving in to my dorm! So, here's what I'm wearing! The Ravenclaw shirt is faded, so the grey crest isn't visible anymore, so you can only see the gold Ravenclaw, but whatever. I decided to wear this shirt because why not walk onto college campus with a conversation starter shirt?

Orientation
This wasn't for my orientation, which isn't until the 25th, but for the Middle School orientation. I dropped by to visit my old teachers, and I figured that I might as well post the outfit here.
Printed tank top: Old Navy
Solid tank top: Cottonon
Jeans: American Eagle
Bracelets: striped was a gift, and the evil eye I bought in St. Augustine
Purse:Coach....kinda obvious
Sandals: American Eagle for Payless
Nail polish: Revlon

How to wear:split leg jeans
This is just two ways that you could pull of split leg jeans. The left side uses contrasting patterns, yet it will still match because everything is black or white. The right side uses a bright shirt and contrasting colors in the accessories.

Packing List
I move in to the dorms on the 25th of this month, and I have just a little left to pack! All I have left are my clothes, nail polish, makeup, jewelry, shoes and stuff I use frequently

A Hint of My Style

A Hint of My Style
I figure if anyone is reading this, especially if anyone wants to follow this style blog, they should know my style to start with, since that's mostly only what I'm going to be posting, unless I get some requests going in.

So, without further adieu, a few things about my style.

For starters, I really love vintage style clothing. For some reason, it flatters my figure better than any other style I've tried. I'm a rather long and lean person with a smaller bust, and I don't try to make my breasts look far bigger than they actually are. Vintage styling helps with that, since it includes full, A-line skirts, giving me a curvier look that is feminine and simple.

I go back and forth between a cat eye and natural makeup, but I always use some sort of lip stain and some sort of highlight on my cheekbones.

I don't heat style my hair really at all, because there's no point in fighting the curls I already possess. I've tried, and I failed countless times.

I don't understand how glasses are a fashion statement other than the fact that they, and by they I mean actual glasses, not the glasses you get at Claire's and Chain Stores, make you look more intellectual. It's not only a proven fact that they do, but it's also a scientific fact that people who have to wear glasses have a higher IQ. Go look it up!

I'm in love with Disney, and I still frequently wear Disney shirts.

Flats are my shoe of choice. If not, oxfords or heels.

I wear bows and headbands consistently.

Anything that reminds me of something that my grandmother might've worn when she was younger, I gravitate towards. So basically, I dig forties and fifties style.
